This program provides a fantastic link between our gardens and students, offering new learning opportunities stemming from growing and cooking. Hurstbridge Primary School has an ongoing culture which values environmental sustainability. This, teamed with our passion for science and desire to embed learning in ‘real life’ experiences, leads us to see the program blending seamlessly with our philosophies and further enhancing our existing work.
Thanks to the hard work of parents and teachers, the gardens have already been established and student education continues. We are in a strong position to implement the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program with some ease however still require ongoing support. Primarily we need assistance with equipment, cooking helpers and general garden maintenance. If you are able to help out please contact the school.
If you are looking for any further information about the program please refer to the following links or speak with your child’s classroom teacher.

We would also love to celebrate and share one of our first big milestone in the program with our inaugural harvest from the garden! Here you can see what a great success the ‘patch’ already is.
