Welcome to Hurstbridge Primary School
Hurstbridge Primary School was first established in 1916 and since then has occupied four different sites. It moved to its current location in 1982 where it was completely destroyed by fire in 2003 only to be re-built and opened again in 2005. The state of the art building, designed to blend in with the natural environment, continues to provide students with an open, light and engaging environment to grow. In 2024 the student enrolment is 179 and the school is organised into 8 classes. Specialist programs include Physical Education, Music, Auslan, Art, Science, Library, ICT and Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden. Our school staffing consists of a Principal, an Assistant Principal and Learning Specialist, 10 classroom teachers and three specialist teachers, a Tutor Learning teacher, a Wellbeing Manager, along with educational support staff and a Support Dog, ‘Chloe’.
Our School Values are: Respect, Diversity, Curiosity and Balance. Our whole school aims to show these values in all that we do. We have a strong focus on student wellbeing as well as academic achievement. Our students are the focus of all we do here at Hurstbridge Primary School. We are very proud of our students and their results in Primary School.
We welcome anyone to tour our school and find out more about what we offer. Please give our office a call to book in a time.
Kind Regards
Chris Tatnall
